NTT DoCoMo is stepping up efforts to become the world’s first LTE service provider. Nokia-Siemens Networks said that it and Fujitsu are working on jointly developing the Service Architecture Evolution (SAE) Gateway, including the Serving Gateway and the PDN Gateway, for the Super 3G project’s Long Term Evolution (LTE) core.
Juergen Walter, Head of Converged Core, Nokia Siemens Networks, said that the collaboration is a proof that DoCoMo is doing well with LTE. Nokia Siemens Networks said that the company offers a full end-to-end LT networks solution, including radio, core business support systems, network management and integration services.
