Samsung Electronics drew attention from global operators, which are preparing next generation wireless broadband service with Long Term Evolution (LTE) or mobile WiMAX, with its news about a product line-up from device to large-scale telecom equipment at the Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona Spain, held from February 15th to 18th.
For mobile WiMAX, Samsung introduced an eco-friendly high-performance base station, called the "Mobile WiMAX U-RAS Smart," along with a set of diverse mobile WiMAX devices including a smartphone, MID (Mobile Internet Device) and Netbook PC. With the U-RAS Smart, operators are able to reduce power consumption by more than 35% to save investment on network installation and maintenance cost. Further, the new equipment is offering enhanced coverage with improved signal sending and receiving performance.
